ProfitVault (“the App”, “we”) helps Shopify merchants track real profit after costs. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights. By installing the App you agree to this policy.

1. Data we access

With your authorization via Shopify OAuth, the App accesses:

• Shop information — domain, owner email, currency, timezone, plan.
• Products — titles, variants, vendor, type (to attach costs).
• Orders — order totals, line items, taxes, shipping, discounts, transaction fees and refunds, used solely to calculate profit. We do not store customer names, emails, addresses or payment details.
• Data you enter — product costs, operating expenses, and ad spend you add manually or import.
• Connected ad/shipping platforms (optional) — spend and shipping cost you choose to sync; access tokens are stored encrypted.

2. How we use it

Data is used only to provide the App’s features: calculating profit, cost management, reports, forecasts and billing. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Storage & security

Data is stored on our servers. Access tokens and third-party credentials are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to operating the service.

4. Retention

Order data is retained per your plan (Free: 30 days, Starter: 1 year, Pro: retained while subscribed). When you uninstall the App, your shop data is deleted within 48 hours (and immediately upon a Shopify shop/redact request).

5. Data subject requests (GDPR/CCPA)

The App honors Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because we store no customer personal data, there is nothing to export or erase for individual customers; shop data is erased on request.

6. Third parties

The App may call platforms you connect (Facebook, Google, TikTok, ShipStation) using credentials you provide, and uses error monitoring for reliability. Each is used only to deliver App features.
